Northwest Charitable Foundation makes gift to The Lutheran Home
Kane, Pennsylvania - Northwest Charitable Foundation recently presented The Lutheran Home at Kane with a check for $10,000 representing a grant towards The Lutheran Home at Kane’s Capital Campaign. Northwest Charitable Foundation was one of the first local businesses to back The Lutheran Home at Kane’s Capital Campaign. The grant will support the $2 million fundraising effort designed to financially support the Lutheran Home’s $6.9 million building project.
“We recognize how important The Lutheran Home at Kane is to this region, both as a senior living community and an economic driver,” said Norm Strotman, Senior Vice President of Middle Market Banking at Northwest. “Northwest Charitable Foundation is very deeply committed to this community and its success. Supporting The Lutheran Home at Kane’s Capital Campaign was a natural extension of that commitment.”
“I am grateful to the Northwest Charitable Trust for their generous gift and unwavering support of our facility,” said Charlotte Floravit, CEO of The Lutheran Home at Kane. “It is the support of organizations such as the Northwest Charitable Trust that has made our capital campaign thus far such a success. We are thankful for their generosity and for their continued commitment to our community. We look forward to the day when we open the doors of our new Alzheimer’s/Dementia Unit and Short-Term Rehab Suites with all private rooms.
As part of The Lutheran Home’s $6.9 million building project, part of the facility’s current building will be repurposed to house a new café, chapel, telemedicine suite, conference room, and offices. Construction is set to begin September 2024 and is expected to last through the summer of 2025.
Gifts to The Lutheran Home at Kane Capital Campaign are still being accepted. Those who would like to make a gift may contact Charlotte Floravit, CEO at The Lutheran Home, at 814-975-1250.
