The Lutheran Home at Kane Obtains a 5 Star Rating
The Lutheran Home at Kane (LHK) has once again successfully achieved a 5-Star Overall Rating from the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS), according to the latest reports published by the federal agency. Only about 10% of nursing homes can achieve a 5-Star Overall Rating, the highest possible rating.

DOH invests in long-term care facilities
The Pennsylvania Department of Health announced that The Lutheran Home at Kane is one of 127 long-term care facilities selected to receive a portion of $14.2 million in federal funding to help sustain quality care as the Commonwealth’s population ages and residents’ needs change.

$3.5 million in funding to improve health facilities in Bradford and Kane
The Lutheran Home at Kane will receive $2.44 million in state Redevelopment Assistance Capital Program funding toward construction of a 10,700-square-foot addition that will house a new Alzheimer’s/dementia unit; the installation of a new generator; the renovation of an old kitchen into offices and meeting facilities; and the construction of an enclosed, secure courtyard and a new cafe.

Lutheran Home at Kane Conducts Energy Audit and Ventilation Review
The Lutheran Home at Kane, a non-profit Continuing Care Retirement Community in rural McKean County, has received a $12,400 grant from the West Penn Power Sustainable Energy Fund (WPPSEF) to perform an energy audit and ventilation review of their nursing home and senior living facility.
